The Shift Forward Online Course

Please be advised that for the 2026-27 season, The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture is a mandatory online program required to be completed by all coaches, rostered staff and officials.  In addition, at least one parent per registrant is required to complete the Parent Program through Shift Forward by the start of the 2026-2027 hockey season.

The launch of The Shift Forward follows an extensive consultation process that included a Training Needs Analysis to review national education and training courses, and this new platform will reflect the overwhelming feedback that the courses should be age-appropriate, modernized, engaging, specific to the how participants engage with hockey, and be progressive as they go through their hockey journey, with content that seeks to change unhealthy behaviours on and off the ice.

The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture online courses will be open to the membership on July 2, 2026. We strongly encourage all members that require this program, to ensure they complete it as soon as possible, as it is required to be completed in order to be rostered or to sign up for an official clinic.
